An exciting week to be alive and listening to STRLA! This week’s episode opens with a discussion of The Roots, Balloon Boy, rain in Los Angeles and it’s municipal maintenance, and of course an update on the Lingerie Football League.   The boys have a cerebral discussion regarding the pros and cons of Guitar Center vs. Radio Shack as well as an update to the recent improvements to Inglewood One studios. This week Skip and Robot take a trip down to Silverlake to see the Bentleys play live at the socialized work/lounge space, Where Meet Mix Mogul. As the show progresses, it becomes more and more of a running theme that there is some difficulty in figuring out exactly what Where Meet Mix Mogul is, which becomes one of this episodes greatest strengths. This episode features interviews with local folk artist Omar Barraza who performs under the name “Antigua” as well as audio samples and a interview with The Bentleys. Check our 8tracks.com mix for this show featuring music from Antigua and The Bentleys.
